An adopted son in California

Walter Isaacson wrote this biography at Jobs’s request, based on many interviews with Jobs and with friends, family, colleagues and rivals. Jobs did not control its content.

Steve Jobs was born in 1955 and adopted by Paul and Clara Jobs. Growing up in California, he learned care for craftsmanship from his father. He dropped out of Reed College, explored Zen Buddhism and travelled to India.
