The Brahmin’s son

Siddhartha is the handsome, gifted son of a Brahmin priest in ancient India. Everyone loves him, especially his devoted friend Govinda, but Siddhartha feels that the rituals and teachings he has learned do not bring true peace.

He decides to leave home and join the Samanas, wandering holy men who give up all comforts. His father reluctantly agrees, and Govinda goes with him.
