A knight is born
In a village in La Mancha, Spain, lives a gentleman of about fifty who reads tales of knights so obsessively that he loses his grip on reality. He decides to become a knight-errant himself, righting wrongs across the land.
He puts on rusty old armour, names his bony horse Rocinante, and calls himself Don Quixote. Every knight needs a lady, so he chooses a farm girl from a nearby village and renames her Dulcinea del Toboso.
